ABc news comments on new additions to the OED

A short radio news piece in Boston today, from I think ABC, says the
OED has added lots of new words, a group which makes it seem like a
dictionary of American slang.  The reporter characterized the OED as
"liberal".  (The euphemism for the curse-word, when applied to
dictionaries, "permissive"?)
