The on-line edition corrected it a few minutes ago:

"Tech Firms' Cash Piles Cool Fears of Meltdown"

Not convinced its an improvement.

Both have four in a row that are ambiguous verb/noun. Would have been five
if not for apostrophe. The reading is actually straightforward, once you
slow down... but skimming it is hard.
