Can anyone provide early documentation or plausible later secondary accounts of the origins or usage of the phrase "Elvis has left the building"?  Wikipedia gives a specific claim for its being used in 1956, but the earliest actual evidence I can find is an occurrence in the Seattle Times, Nov. 13, 1970.
