lunch (OED, n.2 2.a., 1829)

1820 _Observer_ 1 Oct. 4 (ProQuest Historical Newspapers)  The cooks have a busy time of it, and as well as the other attendants, dine at one o'clock, after the lunch is served up for the witnesses.
