"Good on you" is very common in Australia. Same meaning as "good for you" in
US English.

In my wife's family (and thus in our family; i.e., to our kids) we often us=
ed the phrasing=20
	Good on you!
Meaning "good job-you did that well".
My wife's maternal grandfather was a Danish immigrant and Idaho farmer; it =
may have come from him.
I have no idea how common this was elsewhere.=20
