The hipsters I know (with zip codes in Williamsburg and the Mission) are into craft beer, predictable as that may be, and not at all into PBR.  But then so are their parents (at least this one); "flavorless", "tastes like ice cold water", and "provides zero enjoyment" sound about right.  Besides, if India Pale Ale weren't expressly designed for linguists it wouldn't be called IPA.
