I've read about this being a problem for a "bright fellow," as my
grandmother would have referred to him, but I've never seen an instance of
it. OTOH, a person really does not want to be "black-and-ugly." Some may
recall that the bright-complexioned Muhammad Ali remarked of a
dark-complexioned opponent, "He's too ugly to represent the colored
people."

I didn't - and don't - think that of you at all. I did give consideration
to the possibility that my political tirade might be both problematic for
