[Ads-l] Invert, v. -- WOTY?

Not new, but extremely popular in the financial press today. It means
follow the logic backwards. For example, if you say A caused B, then think
about what other things should have been caused by A, and see if they
happened. If they didn't, maybe A didn't happen at all!

“Invert, always invert” is attributed to Charles Munger, Warren Buffett's
long-time #2. As an analyitical tool, however, it supposedly goes back to
the German mathematician Carl Jacobi -- "Man muss immer umkehren."
