I've heard "eat at the Y" occasionally since maybe the late 1960s. I 
don't remember encountering a version with "dine" or with "in".

Recently (2000s-2010s, I think), once, maybe twice, I've heard a similar 
jocular "be at the Y", like ...

"Where is Vince?" / "I think he's at the Y tonight."

... clearly meaning "be with one's girlfriend/lover". I don't know 
whether this is/was meant to imply oral sex or maybe just = "be at the 
crotch" without specifying any particular activity.

Does this appear in the HDAS files?

I can imagine a comparable expression along the lines of "working out at 
the Y" referring to sex, but I've never heard it AFAIK.
