There must be NASA transcripts or recordings.  This transcript starts at lift-off, but there must ones from earlier somewhere.

 while waiting for his 1961 space flight to commence, "Why don't you fix yo=
ur little problem and light this candle?"  Any suggestions of early citatio=
ns or reliable secondary sources would be welcome.
