"Dorian”?  Just as well *that* didn’t catch on—Wilde is one thing, but I can’t imagine who in the Mattachine thought a shout-out to Dorian Gray was a good idea.

And "mutually bonded” sounds a bit…well, dry, but that resolution didn’t carry.
