I heard an announcer on The World last night say "Nee-jerr-ian" and I 
thought to myself that it was going to be a homograph of the adjective 
formed from Nigeria. Looking things up this morning, I see that it's 
"Nigerien" in MWC11. Orthography to disambiguate, at least in this instance.
