Some of you people are putting in a lot of time compiling lists of quotations when clearly the question related to words rather than to quotations.

grapes of wrath.  also two of Bruce Catton's books on the Civil War were entitled "Never Call Retreat" and "Terrible Swift Sword"

relativity and relativistic

survival of the fittest

with all deliberate speed (from Brown vs Board of Education)

Roe (short for Roe vs. Wade, note that "Mary Roe" is a legal pseudonym)

safety net (meaning social welfare laws, popularized but probably not invented by Reagan)



troika meaning "triumvirate"
