That’s…surprising.  I’ll have to give Oliver Sacks’s “The Man Who Mistook His Wife For a Hat” a closer look. Maybe he wasn’t looking at his wife at the time and classifying her as a piece of his haberdashery, but regarding his hat with affection or lust.
