The fashion model Ireland Baldwin has cardiophobia, a word I had not
encountered before. It is not listed in the Oxford English Dictionary
although the OED does have triskaidekaphobia and mysophobia. Of
course, the OED cannot include all the members of the ever growing
list of creatively-named phobias.

A quick look in the newspapers.com database reveals a 1923 citation
for cardiophobia.

“I ordered a blood pressure monitor to accurately read my heart rate
and blood pressure because I live in a constant fear that I’m dying
from a heart attack ... also known as cardiophobia,” she said.

She added, “The heart palpitations and chest pain brought on by your
typical anxiety attack convinces me that I am a 26 year old with an
underlying heart condition that I don’t have.”

Here is the 1923 citation which also lists other phobias.

In modern times man's fears have become more specific. Phthisiophobia,
fear of tuberculosis, cardiophobia, fear of heart disease,
cancerphobia, fear of cancer, and mysophobia, fear of infection, are
of common occurrence and are usually due to an incomplete knowledge of
the disease.
