Flanigan responded that "my bad" was not meant to be
"childlike" or regressive, "whatever that means."
Doesn't anyone else remember playing with language as a teenager? I mean,
truly "childlike" inventions like saying "wuv" instead of
"love," and using children's terminology for a variety of
"adult" words. My friends and I had a whole set of made up words
that were considered "cool" to use. An example was
"Chick-meow," which was meant to imitate the sound a bullet makes when
it ricochets off a rock in a western movie. We used it to mean something
like "wow!" Any research on teenagers' invented language?</DIV>
