<DIV>When I was learning how to drink, back in the 40's in the lower middle 

class bars in Brooklyn (particularly a place called the Kozy Korner) we would 

have a shot of blended rye with a beer chaser but the Old Guys at the other end 

of the bar always told us we were doing it wrong. "You've got to drop the shot, 

glass and all into the beer " they would say but I dont think I ever had it that
