An article in the Boston Globe today discusses the anxieties about loud
noises some persons have as an aftereffect of the Marathon
bombings. One Back Bay resident is quoted as saying
"<font size=3>I have zero desire to be anywhere near fireworks. My
number one fear is hearing the canons going off. My first thought after
the first blast went off was that it was celebratory canons, like they do
on the Fourth. I'm making plans to get out of the city." (The
"first thought" sentence is repeated as a photo
caption.)<br><br>
A shame. He might miss some celebratory Bach or Pachelbel.<br><br>
(Other speculations are welcomed.)<br><br>
