organizations in the New York City area to establish a series of<br>
meetups called MetroLex. MetroLex meetups bring together<br>
lexicographers, linguists, technologists, educators, and other<br>
language professionals to share research and projects relating to<br>
dictionary technology, dictionary use, language documentation,<br>
semantic ontologies, and lexicography.<br>

After the great success of our first meetup, we are pleased to<br>
announce the second in the series, which will once again be hosted by<br>
Oxford University Press (NY). It will be held on April 11th at 6:45<br>
p.m at OUP's lobby conference room at 198 Madison Avenue near the<br>
corner of 35th Street. The theme of this session will be<br>
"Lexicography, Language, and the Law." Three speakers will be making<br>
brief presentations about ongoing projects:<br>

* Robert A. Leonard, Hofstra University, Professor of Linguistics and<br>
Director of the Institute for Forensic Linguistics<br>
<br>
* Lawrence Solan, Brooklyn Law School, Professor of Law and Director<br>
of the Center for the Study of Law, Language and Cognition<br>
<br>
* Fred R. Shapiro, Yale Law School, Associate Librarian and Lecturer<br>
in Legal Research<br>
