Let me make amendments for the spam actions of this week by using this list for what it is meant for. Here are some announcements that might be of interest (order irrelevant). Happy summer everyone! Marie-Odile

1) Doug Ellis Spoken Cree audio material site is finally completed. Free download, but we encourage donations to keep the project going:
www.spokencree.org
You will find there Level One audio, nicely labelled to play on your Ipod, plus an oral stories database of his archival recordings to accompany his books. Level Two to come this Fall, and we are working on Level Three with Doug.

2) Innu material developed with Institut Tshakapesh, in Innu, French and (sometimes) English.
histoires.tshakapesh.ca	(an oral stories datbase with descriptions in Innu, French and English, modelled after the eastcree.org oral stories database)
catalogue.tshakapesh.ca (a catalogue of their publications and music, modelled after the eastcree.org catalogue)
jeux.tshakapesh.ca (three levels of on-line language learning games covering the Quebec dialects)

3) My 2012 Davidson Dunton Research lecture on video, released by Carleton U, entitled:
Giving voice to Aboriginal languages: Putting information technologies to work for people
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2oO15poDJ9U&feature=plcp

4) User-friendly page to order the East Cree dictionaries in book formats (8 volumes, 4 formats, i.e 32 volumes to choose from!):
http://www.eastcree.org/cree/en/dictionary/books/

5) New languages/dialects available on the Cree-Innu linguistics atlas, thanks to Arok Wolvengrey, Jean Okimasis & Nicole Rosen:
www.atlas-ling.ca

6) a new game to teach about the history of contact, developed by our CIRCLE group at Carleton U (if it reminds you of Pathoftheelders, it is the same group…but this time, focus on Mi’kmaq rather than Cree culture)
