The Native American and Indigenous Studies Association is relatively new but already bigger than Ethnohistory, with 800-1000 people attending the annual conference. NAISA just published the first issue of their journal, NAIS. They take a big tent, interdisciplinary approach to the field.

The 7th annual meeting is June 4-6, 2015 in Washington, DC.

The Promotions Manager emailed me with a bunch of questions, and I wondered if you could help me figure out the right answers to give him. Here are the relevant ones:

It’s really important to get circulation up because the Press will not want to keep us on if nobody buys the volumes. So please beg your library, if you’re affiliated with one, to buy the volumes. The info is at http://www.sunypress.edu/Searchadv.aspx?IsSubmit=true&CategoryID=16214, and it’s available in paper & electronic format.
