[Algonquiana] Obituary: Don (Albert D.) DeBlois

Dear Colleagues,

It's come to our attention that Don (Albert D.) DeBlois has passed away.
He was a linguist and ethnologist with the National Museum of Canada (now
the Canadian Museum of History) who published an English-Mi'kmaq lexicon
and texts. He was instrumental in organizing the first Algonquian
Conferences in the 1960's.

According to Don's son Paul, he died in his sleep with son Marc at his
bedside. He was a few months shy of his 94th birthday.
