I suspect they were looking at the wrong "Mail Style". Although your instructions were technically correct, I think they could be more explicit--there are two texts saying "Mail Style" on that page. I've attached a screenshot of me logged into a test account as a subscriber (not owner) and how you can change your settings.</div>
