Company one is angry that company two took their customer's money, but won't let them in. Why does that make them not customers? Customer isn't an open ended word. If your relationship with someone is you pay them money for things then your relationship to them is that of a customer. If you stopped paying them money you would stop getting whatever you were getting (tickets and kits in this case) so you are a customer first and foremost.
