The Center for Language Study, in cooperation with the department
of East Asian Language and Literatures, invites applications for
a full time lecturer in Indonesian language, beginning July 1999.

The position is annually renewable on the basis of program resources
and performance.

Primary responsibilities include teaching beginning and intermediate
levels of spoken and written Indonesian, with the possibility of
limited additional coursework in Indonesian literature.

We prefer a candidate with native or near-native fluency, strong
English skills, demonstrated ability and enthusiasm for in-class
language instruction, together with expertise in second-language
acquisition. Familiarity with computer-aided instruction methods
is also desirable.

Salary commensurate with experience and background.
