Indonesian: (ikan) lodan

It's a loan from Javanese where it also apparently means "whale" (I don't
have my Javanese dictionary at hand to check this) and derives from
the PAN form for "direction to the sea" plus suffix -an.

Some ethnic groups around Sumba (in the Lesser Sunda Islands) practice
whale hunting, but I don't know what they call the whale. Will try to
look that up.
