AWARD: Outstanding student abstract may be<BR>awarded up to $500 for
travel.<BR><BR>1. Abstracts are invited for a 30 minute talk (20 minutes
presentation<BR>+10 minutes for questions and discussions) on any aspect of
formal<BR>Austronesian linguistics. Abstracts are to be typed, maximum 500
words<BR>with one optional page for data and references. Include a word
count<BR>at the end of the abstract.<BR><BR>2. One person may submit up to one
singly authored paper and one joint<BR>authored paper. Please indicate student
status.<BR><BR>3. Abstracts may be submitted by mail or e-mail. Mailed abstracts
may<BR>be postmarked on November 15. E-mailed abstracts must arrive by 5
PM,<BR>Hawaii standard time.<BR><BR>By mail: Send 3 anonymous copies of the
abstract to the address<BR>below. If there is an extra data page, it must be
stapled to the<BR>abstract. Include an index card with your name(s),
affiliation,<BR>mailing address, e-mail address, sub-discipline.<BR><BR>By
