<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:Times New Roman"><font size="3">The
BRC Conferences promote research in the Social, Biological and Medical
Sciences, as they relate to Borneo. The overall theme for BRC 2012 is
"Identities, Cultures and Environments".
</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:Times New Roman"><font size="3">We
invite submission for Papers and Panels on languages and language issues in
Borneo. Linguistics papers at BRC are on any of the languages spoken in
Borneo, and may be from a broad range of approaches:
descriptive, theoretical , comparative-historical, sociolinguistic and
so on. Papers relating to identity issues, language endagerment and
<span style=""> </span>maintenance are particularly welcome in 2012.</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:Times New Roman"><font size="3">BRC 2012 will of course be closely followed by 12ICAL, the Twelfth International Conference on Austronesian Linguistics,
