BISHAI COMPUTER DICTIONARY OF LITERARY ARABIC,
Arabic/English. Compiled and Directed By Dr. Wilson B. Bishai,
Retired Senior Lecturer on Arabic at HARVARD UNIVERSITY.

Dr. Bishai and AramediA are now re-marketing BISHAI
COMPUTER DICTIONARY OF LITERARY ARABIC in its
three versions as follows:

1- NAD (New Arabic Dictionary) -- for MS-DOS only. This version
includes the Dictionary, Arabic Morphology and Vocabulary Drills.
It would be useful on a laptop as a portable dictionary.

2- SAAD (Spelling Checker and Arabic Dictionary) -- for Arabic
Windows only. This version can attach itself to any document in
Arabic Word and be used to look up the English meanings of
words selected. It can also spell check the Arabic text.

3- ADAM (Arabic Dictionary and Morphology) -- for English Windows.
It can also be installed in Arabic Windows. This version is for Students
of Arabic who struggle with recognizing roots using a book dictionary.
It allows the student to enter an Arabic word in a STRICT mode,
without prefixes or suffixes. It also allows the student to enter a
word in a LOOSE mode, with all prefixes and suffixes. In this case,
the Dictionary supplies the student with all possible roots and forms
with English meanings. This is a time saver and a good way to learn
Arabic. This version includes a program for Arabic Morphology (both
synthesis and analysis), and another program for Vocabulary Drills
with words chosen from the most frequently used Arabic words, or
directly from the Dictionary.
