Subject: Attitudes Response

I second the source provided by Mohammad T. Alhawary:

(Pienemann, M and M. Johnston. 1987. "Factors influencing the development
>of language acquisition". In D. Nunan (ed.) Applying Second Language
>Acquisition Research. Adelaide: Australia: National Curriculum Research
>Center).

Also, there are other similar sources in the References of my recent paper
in Al Arabiyya (v.32).

Although my article "Arabic Self-Learning..." does not deal directly with
attitudes on purely psychological level, it deals with the acquisition of
Arabic as a second language. It specifically tests the effect of learners'
prior learning patterns, their perceptions of language learning, and of
Arabic, in particualr.

Best wishes

Nimat
