Subject: Jordanian Music CD

I have just completed a second CD of Jordanian traditional music (Music of
Jordan 2000). Last year I recorded an album called Music from the Madaba
Plains, Jordan. The cds include gassids, hejeini, ney tunes, mejwiz tunes,
women's songs, children's songs -- all sorts of things. They are not for
sale, but are available, for what, a trade, perhaps, of traditional arabic
music? My main goal is to get these recordings into the hands of
individuals/institutions which have a particular interest in Jordanian or
related traditional music. At risk of not knowing how many responses this
posting will get, I'd really like to hear from those with a serious interest
in this subject. I'll offer complimentary copies to as many as I can, but my
pockets are not infinitely deep.
Thanks,
Richard Dorsett,
Tacoma, Washington
