Subject: Gazebo etymology query

According to OED Gazebo is "Commonly explained as a humorous
formation on GAZE v., imitating Lat. futures like videbo 'I shall
see' (cf. LAVABO); but the early quots. suggest that it may possibly
be a corruption of some oriental word."

Is there any reason to believe that the word might have Arabic or
Persian roots? (Qasab / khashab)?
