ARABIC LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE, DARTMOUTH COLLEGE

The Department of Asian and Middle Eastern Languages and Literatures
invites applications for a position in Arabic Language and Literature.
Rank and field of specialization are open. This appointment will become
effective July 1, 2002 with teaching duties beginning in September, 2002.
Duties will include teaching Arabic literature and language at all levels
and working closely with colleagues to develop and administer a growing
program in Arabic.  Candidates must have native or near-native
proficiency in Arabic and English. The Ph.D. is required and teaching
experience is preferred. Salary and benefits are highly competitive.

Deadline for application is December 1, 2001. The review of applications
will begin at that time and will continue until the position is filled.
