Subject:Diglossia in Libya

There was a master's or Phd thesis being written by a Libyan student at
the
University of Arizona about borrowing into Libyan Arabic that, if I
remember
correctly, included a discussion of Libyan diglossia.  That would have
been
around 1985.  I don't remember the name of the scholar but the work was
was
under the supervision of Hamdi Qafisheh.  Perhaps he would remember.
