Dear Roger,

Thank you for sharing such a sad news. My condolences to you, to the  
family and to the immediate colleagues of George.

His passing is a great loss to us and to the field, and a reminder that  
we are not doing enough to benefit from giants like him in this unique  
generation of his.  Perhaps we could think of a scholarly event in his  
honor.
