Dear Ghada

There is a very interesting and detailed description of Egyptian Arabic
during the Fatimid period. Here is the reference:

`aTiyya Sulaymaan Ahmed. 2000. Al-lahja al-miSriyya al-faaTimiyya:
diraasa tariikhiyya waSfiyya. Cairo: Daar an-nahDa al1arabiyaa.

The book is in Arabic and it is not very available. If you have problems
getting it, please let me know. I might be able to help.

Good Luck
Mustafa Mughazy
