Assistant Professor of Arabic Studies
Tenure-track position effective September 1, 2005.
REQUIREMENTS: PhD in hand by the time of appointment. Native or
near-native fluency in Modern Standard Arabic and a colloquial dialect,
and English. DUTIES: Teach Arabic language courses at all levels as
well as courses in literature and civilization/culture courses in
Arabic and in translation. Strong commitment to research and teaching
essential. Interest in developing study abroad program welcome.

Search Committee, Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures,
