IN THE DEPARTMENT OF MODERN LANGUAGES
FOR FALL OF 2005-6

Full time instructor of beginning Arabic and another language,
preferably French, Spanish or Japanese.

The ideal candidate would have an advanced degree in Arabic and/or Near
Eastern Studies, and the training to teach an intensive first-year
course in Modern Standard Arabic.  Candidates should also be fluent in
and able to teach another language, preferably French, Spanish or
Japanese. Ability to teach in other subject areas is a plus.
Responsibilities include teaching four courses, dormitory residence,
sports, and/or other student extracurricular activities.

Phillips Exeter Academy was founded in 1781 and originated the system
of instruction known as Harkness teaching in 1931. In the spirit of its
charter to foster both goodness and knowledge, students come from a
wide variety of geographic, economic, racial, and religious
backgrounds. The diverse student body comes from approximately 44
