  Lecturer in Arabic

The Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations announces  
two positions of Lecturer in Arabic – each position for two years,  
renewable. Classes begin September 25, 2006.  Lecturers teach two  
classes of various levels of Arabic in each of three quarters  
(autumn, winter, spring) to both undergraduate and graduate  
students.  Applicants must have native or near-native proficiency in  
Arabic and experience at the college level teaching Arabic as a  
foreign language.  A Ph.D. is desirable but not required. Applicants  
should submit a cover letter referencing this announcement along with  
a brief description of teaching philosophy, a curriculum vitae, three  
letters of recommendation, and supporting documents including  
teaching evaluations and sample syllabi, if available, to
