UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME, NOTRE DAME, INDIANA
The Arabic Studies Program in the Department of Classics at the
University of Notre Dame invites applications for a position in
Arabic language and literature at the rank of visiting assistant
professor. The appointment will begin in August 2008. The successful
candidate will be able to teach Arabic language courses at all levels
and courses in modern Arabic literature, with research interests in
Arabic and comparative literary theory. Completion of the PhD is
required. Teaching load will be three courses per semester.

of Classics, 304 O'Shaughnessy Hall, University of Notre Dame, Notre
Dame, IN 46556. Applications should include a curriculum vitae, three
letters of reference, a writing sample, and evidence if available of
teaching experience. The closing date for applications is January 18,
2008.
