Subject:Suggestion for Salary Info on Job Postings

I would like to make a proposition. I have noticed
that jobs are frequently posted on Arabic-L and they
often contain useless quotes of salary that have
become so trite and ubiquitous lately, like,
"commensurate with experience," "salary dependant upon
qualifications," etc.

My proposal is to - hopefully in an effort to start a
movement that will catch on in the job searching
sphere - require that those posting a job to Arabic-L
must post at least a salary range, if not a specific
salary, so that all applicants can at least get an
idea of what compensation the position entails. This
seems only fair - and much more efficient in matching
buyers to sellers. Let me know what you think of this
idea.

Interesting suggestion. I'd be interested in hearing from those with
administrative experience what reasons they may have for NOT posting
more specific salary information.
