Subject:Needs Good Intro refs to Arabic Linguistics

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good books that would  
serve as a good starting point for someone interested in learning  
about the different branches of  Arabic linguistics (e.g. phonology,  
syntax, morphology..etc). They could be in Arabic or in English.
