Dear Marwa,
Every year, on every other semester, Prof. Raji Rammuny, at the
University of Michigan, offers an excellent course that may help you
discover the world of linguistics. It is called "Applied Linguistics
and Methods of Teaching Arabic Language". This course has diverse
materials including phonology, morphology, linguistics, and syntax. If
you take it, it will be sufficient for you, and if you are interested in
more details it will provide you with a fair amount of bibliographical
data.
Muhammad Aziz
