The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at the College of
William and Mary invites applications for an instructor position in
Arabic language beginning Fall Semester 2009. Employment is for one
year, with renewal possible for up to five years. We are looking for
professional, skilled language instructors with experience and
competence in teaching Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) in a communicative,
proficiency based manner from elementary to advanced levels. Applicants
should have native or near native fluency in MSA, one dialect and
English. An MA or higher in Arabic language study or literature is
required, in addition to a successful proficiency-based teaching record.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and teaching experience.
