i have watched Queen Rania's Website and found that her name is
رانيا العبد الله Raanyaa al-3abdu -llaah.

Why can she put "al-" before "3abd"?
"3abd" is muDaaf, that is, "al-" cannot exist before it, can it?

Or,,, isn't this "aal" which means a family?
رانيا آل عبد الله
                      ? ? ? ? ?
