Subject:Questions on Abuu-, abaa' abii'

Dear Colleagues,
(A serious linguistic) question: Our top general in Iraq was
recently Gen. Abizeid. Why is this his name

instead of Abuu-Zayd, or Abaa-Zayd?? {Perhaps someone can contact him
directly,and ask}.

And is it true that Sibawayhi reported that one idividual named
his three sons: Abdullah, Abdallah, and

Abdilla?

                                                                                                         Mike
  Schub
