Subject:kathaalik (كذلك) query

Hi everyone,

I have a question about the morphemic and semantic composition of
"kathalik". What is the semantic meaning of the "ka" in this
construction? Does it mean "similar to" in all contexts? Does it
change in the meaning of the distal demonstrative "thalik" to which it
is attached? Does anyone know of any work that has been done on this?

Thanks a lot in advance.
