    You may want to consult my 1977 dissertation (Georgetown University) entitled: "Semantic and Syntactic Aspects of Arabic Prepositions."  The (now outdated) theoretical framework I used was generative semantics; you may find something of use, however, especially in chapter 4, "Verb-preposition structures in Arabic."  All the best,
