Dear colleagues,

the Orient-Institut Beirut (OIB) and the Cluster of Excellence "Asia
and Europe in a Global Context" (Heidelberg University) are planning a
joint international workshop on the question of aesthetic and
religious experience in religious texts:

Aesthetics of the Sublime: religious texts and rhetorical theory

The workshop will be taking place in Cairo (December 15-17, 2012).
Accommodation and catering will be covered by the organizers, who will
take care of the hotel booking, too. As our fundings are limited, we
would however like to ask you to check the possibility of covering the
travel expenses through your university / institution. Where this is
not possible, we will try to reimburse travel expenses as well.

Please find our call for papers in the attachment and do not hesitate
to contact us if you have further questions.

Sincerely yours,
Sabine Dorpmüller, Jan Scholz, Max Stille, Ines Weinrich
