Qatar Foundation International is seeking proposals for the
Development and Maintenance of Arabic Resource Site. The submission
deadline is Monday, March 26, 2012 and the maximum award is $275,000.
Qatar Foundation International intends to support the development of a
single web-based resource site for Teaching Arabic as a Foreign
Language which will benefit teachers, administrators, students, and
the general public. The site will include information such as: schools
and colleges where Arabic is taught; resources available for teaching
and learning, including pedagogical and authentic materials for
teaching and learning; opportunities for teacher professional
development and certification; scholarships and travel opportunities
for students and teachers; and support for development of Arabic
programs in schools. To the extent practicable, the information on the
website will be available in both English and Arabic. For more
